    As a professional photographer and adventure traveler, my recent stay at Haus Alpenrose during New Year was nothing short of fantastic. Nestled in the beautiful village of Obertraun, this cozy spot proved to be the perfect launchpad for exploring the stunning Dachstein region. The views from my room's balcony were amazing, showcasing the snow-capped mountains that surrounded us-the ideal backdrop for capturing nice photographs. Michael, the attentive host, always had a wealth of information ready to share, ensuring I wouldn't miss must-see spots like the ice caves and public beach at Lake Hallstatt just a stone's throw away. The daily buffet breakfast was hearty, giving me the energy I needed for a day filled with outdoor adventures, whether hiking or skiing. With a communal lounge and beautiful garden, it was lovely to unwind after a day of exploring, and the warm atmosphere encouraged mingling with fellow travelers. If you're seeking a balance of adventure and relaxation in a charming setting, I highly recommend Haus Alpenrose.
